TB patients in Turkmenistan get motivated to complete treatment

Ashgabat, 13 January 2012 – The National Tuberculosis Programme (NTP) in Turkmenistan has expanded from diagnosis and treatment of tuberculosis to supporting patients during treatment. Starting from mid 2011, all new TB patients receive monthly food parcels as a means of motivation to complete treatment. Up to date, 1735 patients with tuberculosis have benefited from such support...
